Short Bio

Always involved in the arts most of my life as a musician. Became interested in visual arts, photography, in 2005, and began painting when I retired in 2020

Statement

I have always loved the impressionistic style and have always desired to paint.  At the beginning of the pandemic, April of 2020, I retired and began painting.  I have no formal training.  I am self taught, and have used online tutorials.  I have found that acrylics work best for me, but continue to experiment with other mediums. 

I am an advanced photographer since 2005, and now mostly use my photos as resources for my paintings.  I believe it is important to have a personal connection with the subject of the painting.

 love to paint, work at it almost every day, and will continue to do so for the rest of my life.
